High Vane Impellers are radial flow dispersing impellers supplied through Blade Depot®, a division of Norstone, Inc. The vane geometry directs high volume flow across the entire batch, supporting dispersion and mixing applications where minimal shear is required. Available in 304 stainless steel and additional materials of construction, High Vane Impellers mount on a center hole configuration and operate across a range of speeds for batch processing in coatings, inks, and related industries. Within the Blade Depot® line, High Vane Impellers occupy the minimal shear position, distinguishing them from the high shear designs of High Shear Impellers and Turbine Blades.

Because High Vane Impellers are generally selected for minimal shear rather than high shear dispersion, they should be compared against High Shear Impellers or Turbine Blades where higher shear is the process requirement.
High Vane Impellers are generally chosen for letdown of coatings requiring uniform dispersion across the entire batch, and for emulsification and homogenization of low to medium viscosity materials. Compared to Turbine Blades, which generate high shear dispersion through radial blade hubs, High Vane Impellers are selected when minimal shear and reduced heat buildup are the priority. Compared to High Shear Impellers, which are built for aggressive high speed dispersion, High Vane Impellers are selected for high volume batch movement rather than maximum shear.
